Trail Wizards

Every year thousands of hikers embark on their Appalachian journey. This journey pushes hikers to their mental and physical limits by stepping away from the comforts that shape our lifestyles. The Appalachian trail spans 15 states and almost the entire east coast. This vast stretch of wilderness keeps hikers secluded until they reach intersections of highways and towns. For much of the trail, these intersections occur on an average of 7-10 miles. In some areas however, these gaps are much further and force hikers to make difficult decisions about how they reach their shelter and resources. In our experience this adds a level of discomfort and difficulty that doesn’t add to the overall experience but rather forces our community to focus on off trail issues. Considering that off trail issues are the most common reason for hikers to quit we want to help. Our team wants to use a food truck and our personal experience to create a support system in the most difficult sections of the trail. Our goal is to build a relationship with the community and entice as many adventurers as possible to experience the beauty of the AT!
